Initial Concepts
The thought process flowed from an all-in-one washing and chopping device to a hand held brush replacement. The all-in-one solution was too complicated a solution for the problem and created unnecessary dishes. A bristleless brush was a more compact design and produced no dishes.

Further Refinement
Biomimicry was integrated into the product design. CNIDARIA features tentacle like 'bristles' similar in shape to the tentacles of a sea anemone. SPEEDY SNAIL has small scrubbers inspired by the foot of a snail and a potato eye remover horn. From the sketch model it was determined the potato eye remover was not an placed well on the design and made its use awkward.
